MCL farm market offers freshness
Indianapolis, IN, May 20, 2007—MCL, Inc. announces the opening of its farm markets.
The markets, which are located outside the Castleton and Township Line stores, are open
Monday through Saturday during regular store hours. Visitors to the market are able to buy
fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers.
“These markets showcase our commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients,” said Casey McGaughey, Director of Business Development for MCL.
“Much of the produce available in the markets are also served in our restaurants,” stated
Executive Chef Ron Harris.
Whenever possible, MCL supports the Hoosier economy and agriculture by purchasing
locally grown produce for its 21 restaurants. Customer favorites include locally grown
asparagus, which Chef Harris recommends pairing with the restaurant’s Cedar Planked
Salmon, and strawberries which are used to make MCL's homemade Strawberry Shortcake and the Strawberry Fields Salad.
